We would like to reassure you that we have been welcoming guests here since 2002 and pride ourselves on complete honesty and transparency in all our dealings. We invite all enquirers to leave a telephone number along with their enquiry to enable us to call you back and establish direct contact with you, if you so wish.
Lettings are normally but not exclusively from Saturday to Saturday with arrival times being from 15.00 onwards.
Vacation on the day of departure is normally required by 10.00 a.m.
Rental includes: bed and bath linen, (please bring your own beach towels) water, gas, central heating when appropriate and electricity. In the very rare event of extreme cold we reserve the right to add a small additional surcharge for extra central heating.
The cottages are professionally cleaned at the end of each stay – this is included in the rental price. A small surcharge may be levied should extra cleaning prove necessary.
There is, in addition, a small local tourist tax levied on all adults (over 18) at the rate of €1.50 per day per adult for a maximum of 5 days ie; a maximum of €7.50 Euros per adult. This is paid upon arrival.
Prices are per farmhouse per night, enabling you to be flexible over your desired length of stay (minimum stay varies through the season).
In order to check availability, please refer to the calendar tool. Each house has its own dedicated calendar so please check both. Available days are indicated by green squares and unavailable days are indicated by red squares. Changeover days are indicated by a partially blocked square with a green and a red triangle. We can be flexible on length of stay (although there is a minimum stay of either 3 or 4 nights) and day of arrival.
In order to make a booking please select your required arrival and departure dates by clicking on the appropriate squares on the calendar of the house you wish to book and complete the contact form. Click on the ‘Send’ button and you will be taken to a summary of your booking. Click on either:
a)’Pay by Credit Card’ and you will be taken to our online credit card management system (called Stripe) and proceed to booking and secure online payment, or
b) You will see our Italian bank account details if you wish to make a direct payment by bank transfer.
Our payment terms are: 50% at the time of booking and 50% 1 month prior to arrival. There is no breakages deposit payable. Included in the price: professional clean prior to your stay, all bed and bath linen, gas, electricity, water, shared use of the swimming pool and central heating when appropriate.
All payments will be formally acknowledged and a printed receipt or electronic receipt will be forwarded to the client.
LATE BOOKINGS & CANCELLATION POLICY AS AT 18 MAY 2020
In the event that a booking is made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival, payments should be made in two instalments: 50% of total rental price at time of booking and 50% of total rental price 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy as at 18 May 2020 – Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We have revised our cancellation policy in light of the current circumstances and in order to address concerns relating to the potential impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on your stay here at La Lucertola.
For all bookings made prior to 6th May 2020 and that have been made directly via our website, we are offering free cancellation up to 1 day prior to arrival and either a 100% refund of any monies that may have been paid to date or the possibility of carrying the booking forward to 2021.
For bookings made after 18th May 2020 that have been made directly via our website we are offering free cancellation up to 14 days prior to arrival and either a 100% refund of any monies that may have been paid to date or the possibility of carrying the booking forward to 2021.
No security deposit is required. We have found over 15 years of operation that the most a guest may break is a plate or glass and this we happily absorb into the cost. In the highly unlikely event of something more substantial taking place we can discuss at the time the best resolution.
Please advise us of all members in your party and please inform us in advance of any special requirements (e.g. cot, high chair, stair gate, extra beds etc)
We reserve the right to alter or change amenities if necessary.
Clients will be informed accordingly beforehand.
Insurance: We recommend that the Client and his/her party are insured for all risks associated with the rental of the property. Standard holiday insurance is wise and inexpensive.
General Conditions: We will ensure that, on arrival, the bedrooms are made up and ready for use in accordance with your instructions (e.g. bedroom configuration: double/twin/single beds, cot etc).
The Client is advised to contact us or our keyholders with any problems encountered during his/her stay.
When we receive your deposit we will send a confirmation of the booking which is also a receipt for the deposit.
